  1. Yamaha Magic Stomp Patches

For you Magicstomp fans I spent some time coding an upright bass patch for the magicstomp. I used the parametric eq settings to make the 3 avaialble knobs as usefull as I could for UB.The first knob acts like a sweepable high pass filter unfortunatly it sweeps from 20 hz to 20k so its only useable on the first part of the control 7 (20hz) to about 10 (150hz) The next 2 knobs act like a 2 band graphic the middle one is set at 30hz and the last one is set at 5k these are my 2 favorite graphic bands on my Fishman platinum pro-eq bass. You should be able to fatten the bass up with the middle knob then use tha high pass to get rid of the tubby sound and or feedback. The last knob is set at 5k is great for taking away or adding fingerboard noise. I play in a rockabilly band so I use it to increase my slap sound. You magicstomp owners can download it hereits patch number 1 in the user library and is called 'upright' the rest of this library is rubbish so just steal it and add it to your own user settings. Let me know what you think!

Shoutout toI thought this was going to be a pain in the ass to start editing the patches but I didnt need a Windows XP emulator, I can simply run it from Windows 8 desktop! No issues whatsoever.I put the 12 chorus patches on, I wasnt prepared for the assault of 8 delays rattling off! I was surprised how high in the mix you can hear them, yet when you play chords they dissapear. NO room for errors if you are arpeggiating with your fingers. You will definitely need a stereo setup to fully realise its capabilities, Im not quite getting that huge dimensional effect in mono and it still doesnt have that huge detune that Allan had although, I can tell its there, I really think playing through only one amp sucks alot of the magic out of this. The editing is absolutely terrifiying, i'm not sure where to start, its SO in depth. NO room for errors if you are arpeggiating with your fingers.Did you try AH volume swell fx patch yet?:)The editing is absolutely terrifiying, i'm not sure where to start, its SO in depth.I think we should make a 'Magicstomp FAQ' thread or something. I've thought about making a comprehensive thread before, but I could literally spend an entire day or two getting everything together for that.so it might be better to just have a thread where I can just respond to any question that comes up (at least as far as the multi-delay algorithms come up-I'm much more adept at those than with the other algorithms, since it's so similar to what I do with Lexicons).
